There are normally 4 main costs associated with a funeral.

1. The Funeral Directors Fee (also called the Professional Service Fee)

This includes:

• Arranging and conducting the funeral
• Responsibility for all details involved in arranging the funeral service
• Trained professional staff
• Transfer of the deceased from place of death into our care - 24 hour service
• Dignified mortuary care of the deceased
• Private family viewing at one of our Chapels
• Registration of death
• Liaising with CLergy, Civil celebrants, etc
• Liaising with cemetery or crematorium of your choice
• Placement of press notices
• Liaising with singer or musicians
• Liaising with florists
• Modern hearse and mourning cars

2. Coffin or Casket Costs

Firstly the difference between a coffin or casket is the shape. A coffin tapers towards the foot end whereas a casket is rectangular in shape. We have an extensive range of coffins and caskets and these can be made from particle board, custom wood through to solid timber or metal.

3. Cemetery or Crematorium Costs

Cemeteries and Crematoriums all have their own set of fees and charges and each differ from the other. Depending on which Cemetery is chosen and whether it be a burial or cremation will determine the cost.

4. Disbursements

These are normally items which are chosen by the family and we pay these costs on your behalf.

• Flowers
• Clergy fees
• Memorial book
• Memorial cards
• Order of service booklets
• Singer of musicians
• Catering
• Dove of peace or balloons to be released
• Professional video taping
• Professional photography
• Scattering of ashes at sea or at a special place
• Or at any other family request
